Skills Matrix scale definitions

Members have a 5-option scale per competency when filling out the matrix:

  1. Novice: The individual is aware of the basic concepts but has not applied them in a practical context. This level is typically characterised by learning and initial exposure.

  2. Basic: The individual can handle routine tasks with supervision and is familiar with the essential concepts and procedures. However, their application is limited to straightforward scenarios.

  3. Intermediate: The individual has a good grasp of the skill and can apply it effectively in most situations without assistance. They handle common issues and contribute reliably in this area.

  4. Proficient: The individual has deep knowledge and can handle complex and non-routine issues. They can provide guidance and mentorship to others in this area.

  5. Expert: The individual has comprehensive expertise and is considered a subject matter expert. They are often sought after for their knowledge and can lead and innovate in this area.
