When an evaluation has closed, a report will automatically generate and be available to the account Owner(s) and anyone who has been granted specific report access. The report on the platform is interactive and allows you to analyse the results in an effective manner.
There are various features in the report to provide a comprehensive view of the results. Reports viewed on the platform are interactive, allowing you the flexibility to pull out specific data and view the results in ways that help create a full picture of your board's performance.
Below is some guidance to help understand the different and value-adding features in the report and how to interact with them.
Report features:
ESG & Strategy Indexes:
ESG & Strategy Indexes:
Our ESG Index and Strategy Index are available in some of our evaluations and will show in the second part of the executive summary, if included. The questions that contribute to these indexes are placed throughout the evaluation and chosen by experts in these fields. The indexes also include benchmark data gathered from results of other companies within the BoardClic universe.
Improvement indicators:
Improvement indicators:
These are key insights for strengthening your governance and strategic decision making. By collecting outliers in the data, you can focus on these key areas to drive meaningful improvement.
Score, priority, distance to the benchmark, alignment and uncertainty are weighted together to form a total score and qualify areas to be an improvement indicator. Results in the interactive report are shown in descending order of priority by default.
Section drilldown:
Section drilldown:
To dive deeper into your results on question level, use this feature to see section results and individual question results, as well as their trends, benchmarks, alignment, distribution and prioritisation.
Section summary:
Each section will have its own section summary, visible when you click on a section in the section drilldown. The section summary includes your overall section score, the section benchmark and section findings. These findings weigh scores and priorities together to highlight areas of highest and lowest performance.
Question features:
Priority scores:
Priority scores:
Participants select a certain number of rating questions per section that they deem as important to the board. This score can help identify relevant areas and potential priority misalignments. Using this data, you can pinpoint areas to discuss further with the board knowing it is of value to the members.
The results of this prioritisation is shown in the 'Section drilldown' portion of the report next to each rating question using a scale of 1-10. A score of 10 in prioritisation means the question has been chosen as important by all participants, and a score of 0 means it has not been chosen as important by any participants.
You can change the order of the prioritisations in the report simply by clicking on 'Priority':
Alignment & Distribution graphs:
Alignment & Distribution graphs:
The alignment and distribution graphs display the results from the rating questions in each section.
The alignment (or snake) graph, displays responses from each survey role. This allows you to analyse the extent of alignment or misalignment among survey roles. To bring even more value to the data, you have the ability to select and deselect roles to change the data into different configurations. Role groups such as 'All roles' or 'Full board' will average the scores of multiple roles into one line.
By toggling to the distribution graph, you can get a sense of participant answers across the 1-7 rating scale, located at the bottom. Leverage this graph for a deeper insight into the responses.
It is simple to toggle between the alignment graph and the distribution graph in the interactive report:
Trends:
Trends:
Once more than one of the same evaluation has been completed, the reports will begin displaying trend data. Using trends, you can track the board's progress over time. Trends can show on overall scores (i.e. BoardClic Value Index, section scores, ESG or Strategy index) and on individual rating questions throughout the report. Where trends are available, you will see a green box (positive trend) for increased scores, a red box (negative trend) for decreased scores, or a yellow box for scores that have stayed the same along with the percentage of change. Hovering over a box will show you the score from the previous evaluation.
BoardClic benchmarks:
BoardClic benchmarks:
BoardClic's benchmarking data enables you to assess how your board is answering compared with other companies of similar geography, sector or industry. Benchmark data can be found on overall scores and individual rating questions throughout the report. You can change the order of the benchmarks in each section drilldown in the report simply by clicking on 'Benchmark':
